The Grand Hyatt Hotel in West Bay is not just 5-Star, it is one of the top hotels in Doha. I happened to dine at Rocca, a posh Italian restaurant located at the poolside of this beautiful property and was quite pleased with my experience here.
The entrance is beautifully adorned with flowers, the presence of a piano at the lounge is quite classy, and they also have a big TV screen so diners can enjoy football matches whenever they are on. Best of all, this place has an outdoor seating area at the terrace which provides breathtaking views of the landscaped gardens and West Bay lagoon.
Now, glance over the Italian goodness I indulged in while I was here:
The Foccasia bread along with all other homemade breads I tried were unbelievably fresh. Crispy from the outside and perfectly soft from the inside, these were served warm and turned out to be great for starting out a tempting Italian feast.
Another starter which completely won my heart was the Burrata with bresaola. I thought this to be an amazing combination and very delicious.
The next one to please my taste buds was the Linguini Bottarga, made from garlic, fresh chili parsley, butter, bread crumbs and bottarga. A must try!
Very fulfilling and rich in flavor, the Mozzarella Pizza came as a superb creation for all those like their food less spicy and cheesy.
Are you fond of profiteroles? If yes, then you are going to love this dessert at Rocca just like I did! It is very similar to profiteroles, but in reality, it is a puff pastry with less cream inside.
I simply loved the service and hospitality of Rocca. The food was delicious and staff appeared to be very professional. I would suggest you all to visit during daylight so that you can enjoy the beautiful scenery as you dine.
